I picked the raindrop pattern because he is a painter by trade. And the silk is for me, because I love the silk crush and shimmer.
So here it is. And his parents assure me that he will love it, and actually take care of it. I know he will.
Here’s a house warming gift ready for my niece, who is just moving into her new apartment. I “bundled” a matching pillow, lap quilt, and a small mixed media piece. I have since discovered that she isn’t partial to the light green, so I might give this quilt away and make her a new one. Gotta find some blue fabric!
These guys are settling into their new nest, after a magpie knocked 3 babies to the ground. The mom waited in the tree, dropping mice from above to her owlets below. A young local construction worker contacted the owl sanctuary and was told that he could touch the babies and put them back up in the tree. So….he did just that. He built a lovely platform with some stuffing on it, placed the babies in it and voila! Mom and babes are snug and thriving.
