Here it is. My new, and very time-consuming oven mitt. 100% wool I knit one piece, and then sewed it up the sides. I could not figure out how to knit the thumb, (not so great at knitting!)so I crocheted it. Once it was all tacked together, I hand scrubbed it with hot water and soap for about 15 minutes. I tumbled it in the dryer for 40 minutes and then stuck it on a paper towel roll to dry thoroughly. The knit part felted much more easily than the crocheted thumb.
But, it works.
Whew, that knitting is tough for me. If you are a fast knitter, this is a great project!
